- The 2010s were a bit of a return to form for alternative music. Lots of punk and nu-grunge and stuff like that. Pixies and Sleater-Kinney came back. Weezer were less rubbish. Varied, experimental, and no embarrassing faux-emo in sight. Solid 7/10.
